So 2010 was a great year for games, we look at the top 5
Halo: Reach
Nobody says Halo 'Is all right' its a game which you either love and don't like, me personally I have always enjoyed the Halo series especially number 1 and 2 back in the day. Halo:Reach is a great addition to its series, although the gameplay might seem familiar and also the on-screen indicators such as the radar etc Halo:reach still bring you new elements and has a very nice game menu. Not only is the menu nice, it is very user friendly. The campaign is great, you can play by yourself or co-op the campaign mode is great and missions will require you to use strategic tactics.
Mass Effect 2
Again here we have another great sequel, the guys at BioWare definitely know how to make great RPGs and with Mass Effect 3 on the way, thing are looking good, not to mention Mass effect 3 will also be available on the PS3. I would recommend playing the original Mass Effect before playing number 2, you play commander Shepard and need to save the galaxy. in a world with alien and humans Mass effect combines a great story with a virtual experience, also the face customisation feature in this game are great, you can make realistic faces and very identical to real life, its great!
Alan Wake
This game is in a league of it's own. Never before have I enjoyed a psychological horror this much, Alan Wake has a great story line and the story keeps you locked on and locked on you stay until you find out how the story ends. The game is based on a character called Alan Wake who is a writer, for two years Wake has writers block, his wife has an idea that herself and wake should visit Bright Falls in hope that Wake can overcome his writers block. Once they arrive, well his wife disappears, he now has something to write about, but on a more serious not this is just the start to this epic horror. I won't spoil the story too much for you!
Red Dead Redemption
A cowboy game based back in the days when we all had farms, horses and grew crops, You play John Marston, a man who use to be affiliated with some bad guys (in the game that is) and has had his family taken away from him, he now needs to help the law find these bad guys who left him for dead and make them pay for what they have done, Why is he helping the law, well they have his family as an insurance policy and will only release them to Marston if he hold up his end of the bargain, talk about blackmail.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops
Yes, yeah yeah, not call of duty again, personally I think the single player is great, the on-line multiplayer? yeah Modern Warfare 2 please? Say what you like about Black Ops matter of fact is that is broke records, and really helped the game industry get some recognition, The game it's self is great, I'm a little disappointed with the multiplayer, but hey that's just me, it had world wide fame and is still selling loads of copies and the price hardly dropping.
