This level starts with you in a helicopter approaching 'The Gulag', as you get near, use your sniper to take out any enemies that you can on the rooftops. Once off the chopper follow the rest of your squad and eliminate the soldiers on the ledge above, use the cover available if needed. Now move forward, following your squad into cover as your support chopper clears the rooftop ahead.
With the roof cleared by the helicopter, head into the building ahead through the broken window. You have again now flanked some of the enemy, shoot them through the window to the left and clear the rest of the area. Now follow your squad again, kill the couple of guards who come up the stairs and then make your way down them. At the bottom of the stairs, kill the soldiers in the control room and push through and down a set of stairs.
You are now on a circular walkway where the jail cells are situated. You need to move round the walkway to the right, there are quite a few enemy soldiers here so proceed with caution. Use your grenade launcher if needed to clear out the enemies ahead, you can even fire it way across to kill people not yet directly in front of you. Once you have made your way round the walkway, get down the stairs with the rest of your squad and you find yourself in the prison armoury. The doors now lock, trapping you inside, you will be surrounded soon by enemy soldiers so you need to pick up a riot shield to get some protection. We chose to ride this section out rather than trying to kill anyone get yourself either with your back against a wall or back to back with a team mate until your squad manage to get the door back open.
When the door finally opens move out with the riot shield still equipped, melee attack the soldiers at the end of the short walkway. Now swap the shield for one of their dropped guns and take out the rest of the soldiers as you move around the circular walkway. When you reach the end of the walkway, you need to rappel down, once at the bottom equip your night-vision goggles and carry on forward.
Keep on your guard through the darkened section, eliminating all targets that appear. You will soon get back to a lighted area so take off the goggles and keep moving until you arrive at a pipe filled room. There are a few targets in here so take care of them as you move through. Around the corner at the end of the corridor you go down are a small group of soldiers, throw a flashbang or grenade (if you have any left) around the corner before clearing up with your gun.
Next up is another breaching job, place the charge on the wall and, same as before, when it goes off use the slow motion to kill as many guards as possible. This section can be quite tough on the harder difficulties, after the slo-mo finishes move back into the corridor you came from to assess whats ahead. There will be enemies on the walkways above the shower room to the left and right you can spot them as they have laser targets on their guns, take care of these first before eliminating any left on your level. When you move forward, a group will come with riot shields and more on the upper walkway. Throw a grenade behind the ones with riot shields before switching attention again to the upper levels. When you have cleared the upper level you need to make sure the rest are dealt with. If any with riot shields remain either get another grenade behind them or move back slightly and when they come forward flank them to get past the shield. When the room is cleared, head on through and drop down the hole in the floor and into the sewer.
Get ready to meet a long lost friend, the prisoner you have been searching for is now revealed to be CAPTAIN PRICE, he is alive!!! You now need to follow your squad as the building starts to crumble, you will get hit by falling debris but will get back up, when you do get to the rope to be lifted to safety.
